"With my mother living an hour away, my husband working two jobs and my mother-in-law sick with the flu, I found myself alone as a first time mom trying to cope with breastfeeding and caring for my baby. At the recommendation of a friend, I called Valerie and she quickly came to my aid. For several days postpartum she helped me immensely by giving me the care and nurturing I needed. She helped me catch up with laundry, refreshed my bed, assisted me with nursing and tended to my son so I could bathe and eat. Valerie cooked a delicious pot of homemade chicken soup with fresh baked cornbread that the whole family enjoyed! She even followed up with me by phone and text message to see how I was faring several days after her visits.
